Site locked all of a sudden
-
For some reason my site is no longer available to the public. I was told by a friend.
I can open it myself, but if I try from another device I get a page with “future of something cool” written there, and “if you’re the owner, log in to launch this site”
When I click the link, I’m at a cPanel page asking me for username and password, but I’ve never heard of cPanel and am not sure if this is legit.
What is going on and what do I do please?
I’m not very computery, and the tutorials I’ve searched show completely different menus to what I have.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi coastalcattle
I’m not very computery, and the tutorials I’ve searched show completely different menus to what I have.
Yes, this is because you are working on WordPress.org platform having your hosting with any other hosting provider and also have a domain registered somewhere else. To know more about the domain and hosting information please refer to the link below:
https://www.whois.com/whois/coastalcattle.com.auYou should contact domain control or Godaddy for this issue.
Your site is using WordPress.org software which is hosted on another host. So WordPress.com forum is not the right place to get the solution for your question.
You can post your question in WordPress.org forum:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/For more information here is the support documentation link below:
https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress.com forum helps the sites hosted on WordPress.com only
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are both different platforms, you can find more information for this here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
