Site log in error – "Cannnot modify header information … "
-
My site is largely static. Attempting to log in recently, I found this error message instead of the log in prompt:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/wrytir02/surefootcommunications.com/wp-content/themes/thesis_182/custom/custom_functions.php:1) in /home/wrytir02/surefootcommunications.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1179
I downloaded the pluggable.php file through FileZilla, opened the file in Notepad++, and scrolled to line 1179. I can find nothing out of the ordinary — no extra spaces as one help forum suggested. I understand this might stem from a plug in in need up updating, but I can’t do that if I can’t log into my site.
Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions to resolve would be infinitely appreciated.

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
The forum at WordPress.ORG is not connected to WordPress.COM so you will need to open an account at .ORG if you do not already have one. You may use the same email at WordPress.ORG as you do at WordPress.COM.

The post is forever – you be welcome – – many folks post here and not the .ORG forum – and many folks post in the .ORG forum when they should be here – we just send people to the correct forum – no harm done – good luck
