Site logo not going into facebook

  When I post my WP url into FB it links to the site. There is a long rectangular box…
  On the right is the name of my site (good) on the left side of the rectangle there is a box that is blank (bad). I believe this is where a site icon should go but it is not appearing? Can you help. Doug
