site logo won’t display in header

I am in the process of creating a new WordPress site and have been having an awful time trying to get the logo to display. I have tried using a couple of different themes including Sinatra and WPOcean. In either case, after uploading a sitewide logo I cannot get it to display in the header. When I am in the ‘customize’ tab and am selecting the logo image, everything appears correct in the preview. But when I actually visit the pages that I have built, the logo does not display correctly, or at all. I have also tried altering the styling with custom css and that does not seem to affect anything. Is my install just broken? Should I try restarting from scratch? Perhaps I just need a new theme? Are there any good free, or not free, themes that people would recommend?

in fact, no changes that I make in the ‘customize’ section seem to be reflected on the site. Is this likely an issue with the theme?

Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?
The reason why I ask is because WPOcean and Sinatra aren’t themes that are available out of the box on WordPress.com. They would need to be installed on the WordPress.com Business plan.
The site unconvincingarguments.wordpress.com currently does not have a paid plan.
Once we know that information, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.

oh sorry, that was just the default url when I created the thread. the actual site url is https://solarpowerhome.co, and it should be noted that the currently enabled theme is Customify. and I am still experiencing the same problems with this theme. no changes that I make in Appearance > Customize are reflected on the live site. I’ve attached a screenshot of how the site is supposed to appear according to my custom settings, but you can see when you visit the site that none of these settings are being reflected on the live site.
