site mapping
-
I have a problem with my site which I cannot work out. I have mapped my 1&1 domain (www.willbryan.co.uk) to my woordpress site (www.willschallengesandadventuressite.wordpress.com) however when I try to use my .co.uk url as my primary domain, the browser comes up blank when the http://www.willbryan.co.uk is typed into my browser. I can only view my site if http://www.willschallengesandadventuressite.wordpress.com is set to primary — however this brings up the much unwanted wordpress name in the url still.
Secondly, I have just upgraded to the premium package hoping it would get rid of the ‘blog at wordpress.com’ writing at the bottom left side of my page but is hasn’t. Will this always be here?
Thanks in advance, any help will be much appreciated.

Hello there,
I just checked your website and your .co.uk domain and http://www.willschallengesandadventuressite.wordpress.com redirect both to http://will-bryan.com/.
If you still experience this problem, clear the cache of your browser first and see if that fixes it.As for the ‘blog at wordpress.com’, you cannot remove it. All WordPress.com bloggers have to maintain the credit links, even the Premium and VIP bloggers as for the Terms of Service.
Here are more info in this subject: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#important-notes-before-upgrading.
No links or footer information can be removed from any WordPress.com blogs. There’s no upgrade you can purchase that allows their removal and also purchasing a domain mapping upgrade doesn’t change anything except the domain name.
