Site may be copy??

  I need help and am at a standstill. I used to have a website through wp site and switched to Shopify for a while. I decided to come back to wp, and am using the same email address. I’ve already slowly started working on website pages. I went to payments and it says account restricted and also shows a banner saying my site may be a copy of wp with a different hosting service. I’m not sure what to do or how to get help. I also tried setting up woocommerce payments and it’s supposed to send code to my phone, which never comes. ( might have older number) Please help as this stuff is so confusing

  Hi there, just to check – were you wanting to use the domain wonkythreadz.com here on WordPress.com?

  It’s possible you may have an old site hosted elsewhere which may have used a Jetpack plugin to connect to your WordPress.com account. If you head to the link below, does wonkythreadz.com show up at all?

  It’s not showing up. I’m having problem after problem. I have reached out for help countless times. It seems my entire setup is a wreck and no one wants to check it. I can’t even login from my admin. It gives me a 404 error.

  We’ll need some clarification here. When you moved to Shopify, what did you do with the hosting account that you used for your WordPress site?

  The reason we’re asking is that we have no record of your site being hosted here at WordPress.com. WordPress.com is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software (found at WordPress.org), so if you were using the WordPress software but using a different host (which appears to be the case) we don’t have any access to nor the ability to help with your site.

  Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

  When I moved to Shopify I just canceled my bluehost. My domain is through google domains, so I just moved my domain to point to Shopify.

  Thanks for that! And are you working on your new site at Bluehost as well? If not, which hosting provider are you using?
