site migration
-
I am trying to move my subscribers to a self-hosted site. I have followed the instructions but when I go to the self-hosted discussion settings and choose ‘migrate followers from another site’, this site is not listed in my list of sites. I tried downloading a csv file and uploading it to the new site and it still only imported email followers, not wordpress.com followers. How to I go about moving these followers?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi there,
To move your subscribers, your new self-hosted site needs to be connected to your WordPress.com account. This connection is made via the Jetpack plugin. If you’ve not done so already, please ensure that Jetpack is installed on your self-hosted site and that it’s linked to the same WordPress.com account that was used on your previous site.
If you could provide the addresses of both your old and new site, I can take a look into this issue further for you.

If you go to this screen, you should have a site selector tool. Do you have any hidden sites there? If so, can you check to see if this one is hidden?

It’s not hidden. But even the ones that are hidden show up in the list, only that one does not.

Ah! I just spotted the issue. Your pixiekris account is not listed as the owner of offgridcamp.wordpress.com.
You can log into that other account, make sure Jetpack is connected with that user, and then transfer follows. Or you could change ownership to this account. Want to give that a go?
