Site migration

    Greats,
I work volunteering with an association for the website (kidsempowerment.org) but i’m not the creator. I would migrate the website to the address http://www.kidsempowerment.infosysdevconcept.net) aimed to make design and other experimentations to propose. I’m under Fedra 28. My DNS and apache works, i imported the files in the folder and the database also. i did correct the options table with the correct url. i did conserve the database name, user and prefix (best!!!) i di precise the localhost location of the database… i tried the address …./wp-admin/install.php to finalize the installation, but a few daus i had a timeout. i boosted the TimeOut parameter of the VirtualHost to 500 000 (!) but no result (the site is very important). And today an horrible blank page qith absolutely no indications !
    Thanks for your help,
    Best regards,
    Franck

    Hi there,

Please check if you have adhered to steps listed in below support document.
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

Having said that, your issue is related to a site that is using the WordPress.org software, which is hosted outside WordPress.com

This forum only supports the sites hosted on WordPress.com. Please post your question on the WordPress.org support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/

Both(WordPress.com and WordPress.org) are different products. You can find out the differences between them here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

    Thank you.

    Hi you,

Well, i have no access to ftp server for the moment i i think i can’t let the site have a 404 error page. I have dowloaded a tool nalmed “Search-Replace-DB-master”, but if i go to the location …/Search-Repalce-DB-master/index.php, agian a blank page…
i juste replaced the url in database in the table options, but it semmes it’s not sufficient.
i insist about the fact the same site wille have two adresses, the migration is not absolute.
Thanks anyway for your help, and hope you or somebody can help further.

    Regards,
    Franck
