Site Migration from .org to .com

    Hello,

I’m looking to switch my site from a self-hosted WordPress.org site to a WordPress.com site. I know that I will lose plugins and my theme won’t be available and I’m okay with that. I basically want to know if you’ll do a site migration after I sign up and what’s the easiest way to make the switch since my site is connected to WordPress.com currently. Hopefully, my question makes sense.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

We don’t have an automated service to do this for you, but you can find a guide on migrating your content and pointing your domain to us here:

    Moving from a Self-Hosted WordPress to WordPress.com

Make sure to first import your content here and wait for your media files to also be transferred over before pointing your domain to us. You self-hosted site will need stay online at the current domain until everything has been moved over for it to work.

I see your site is connected with Jetpack as well, so we should be able to also transfer your followers and your stats to the new WordPress.com site when you’re ready. Let me know if you want me to help with that.
