I have a squarespace site that I want to move to wp. I have set up with cloudways to be my host, but am not sure that was necessary. I have a lot of questions about getting this started.Thanks. Alexis.

Hi Alexis,
To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org and they are two different entities.
We, WordPress.com are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is a stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
You can find more details about WordPress.com and WordPress.org on this support page:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
If you’re looking to host your site with Cloudways, you’re talking about WordPress.org and we won’t be able to help you with that.
If you’d like to keep your site on WordPress.com, you’ll want to create a new site, choose a plan, and then import your site as explained in the link that @austinsangs mentioned above.
Here you can read more about our plans:
https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/
Let me know if you have any more questions regarding that.
