Site missing

    Hello,

My site http://www.thehouseofyum.com is missing under my sites online here.

Although it is showing as listed on my wordpress app, it has no clickable posts or pages.

On the app there is another website listed which is also not here (and not recognizable to me) called gator4162.temp.domans/~whatsdea

    Please assist.

    Thank you so much

The site itself as well as the wp_admin site is being redirected as well. On whois lookup, it shows the website was updated December 19th and is now pointing to parklogic servers?? Which I’ve never heard of.

  • Oof, that kind of page usually means the domain expired. Looks like you registered through GoDaddy, so I’d recommend getting in touch with them ASAP to see what options you have.

If the domain itself is fine, you’ll want to check with your hosting company next.

Once you have the site up and working properly, you can connect it to the app through Jetpack or log in using wp-admin. I hope this helps!

    Hi supernovia,

Thank you so much for your response!! I really appreciate it. Yes, I registered the domain through GoDaddy in 2016 but they have requested a receipt for that which I no longer have access to. The domain expires in Nov 2023 so it should be okay still.

Because I made the website so many years ago, I also don’t recall which hosting company I ended up going with – is there a way for me to see this information?

  • OK. I have seen recently expired domains get a bumped-out expiration date as they go through redemption, so you’ll want to just confirm with them.

And yes, we can often tell where it was hosted before. I used dnshistory.org to show it was with iPage until November 2022, then it went to a parked page. This would be another indication it could have expired, but if it’s definitely in the clear, you’ll want to check with iPage, too. Good luck!
