Site Monetization Options – Allowed? – Questions

    Hi,

    I’m just wondering if it would be allowed to solicit on one’s site for people or companies or other entities to sponsor the site?

    Also, would it be allowed to solicit for people to donate to one’s site through Patreon, or GoFundMe, or one of the other various crowdfunding sites?

    Or are sites only allowed to solicit for donations through PayPal?

    I’m just wondering if these things violate the Terms of Service; I don’t want to do anything that might get all the hard work of my site taken down.

    Also, as a followup question, what would be the best way to monetize a WordPress.com site that doesn’t meet the WordAds requirements for site traffic?

    where you can learn about WordAds, Premium and Business plans, Affiliate Linking and Sponsored posts, but please note, that:

    – generally, it is quite rare to make make a significant income from advertising, unless you have thousands visit a day.
    – it is very recommended to immediately buy the domain name upgrade right after starting the blog, and THEN start blogging.
