  why does my website end with wordpress.com?

  Hi @openscopes, it sounds like you have a free site here on our servers, since those come with a free subdomain like .wordpress.com or .home.blog.

  If you’d like to upgrade to a custom domain, you can. I’d recommend one of these paid plans:
  https://wordpress.com/plans/

  Then you’ll be able to add your domain as you go through the setup. You’ll get direct support with that, too.
