Site name chages

Please can somebody tell me details about sitename changes? I really need to change my site name but am afraid it will affect my blogs repotision or in any other way like connections with search engines or what? Please someone shoud help me out plzzzzz. I’ll be waiting online, thanks for a reply in advance.

Do you want to change the title? (pinkycrag’s Blog) or the URL
Title is at Dashboard >> Settings >> General >>
You have no content on a 6 day old blog – to worry about a URL change at this time is not worth the effort since search engines have probably not indexed your blog – if you want a new URL – just make a new blog and use the old one for practice –
as soon as you start adding content to a blog and search engines start indexing your site – then URL changes become relevant

But can i still be able to use my site URL (pinkytrain.wordpress.com) to get a new blog? I ask because all my forum suport request appears in searches on google.

I don’t think that changing the title of a blog at 6 days will make any real difference in the long run – as soon as you start adding content the search engines will start to index your site and they will grab the new title – might be a bit of a delay for the update but should not really matter – after a while the title starts to work like a signature

Yes is the (pinky’s Blog) that i want to change. Will it affect my blog? Talking about post, i posted something and it’s already in Google searches, but i deleted it from my blog.

You use your pinkycrag account to get a new blog URL if you want – but yes you do that from the Dashboard of your existing blog
Then you can change the URL linked to your account name – it is in the User settings someplace – sorry can’t remember exactly where but not to hard –
This forum has a lot of Google “juice” – that is why your name and blog are associated with this forum and you don’t seem to have much other presence on the web with your account name
