Site name changed by error

    Hi
    I accidentally changed my site name (without redirecting) and while I have my content, there are several broken links across the blogosphere for guest posts/ bios, etc.

    How can I reverse this?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    lazysummerdiaries.wordpress.com – all blog posts in this domain are not working now as I changed the name to kalpavrikshafarm.wordpress.com

    Do you mean that there are other sites that are linking to lazysummerdiaries.wordpress.com and the links are now broken after the namechage?

    If that is the case, you have two options.

    1. You will need to contact the site admins and ask them to manually change the links to your new site URL.

    2. You can purchase the site redirect upgrade and it will automatically send traffic to your old site URL to your new site URL: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

    Thanks for your reply. My previous domain was lazysummerdiaries.wordpress.com . After I changed to kalpavrikshafarm.wordpress.com, my old blog posts have stopped working. Without any paid plans or paid plugins, can I either get my domain back? I am being told that old domain can be restored if the change happened within 30 days . I did this change 5 days back.

    eg my earlier blog post https://lazysummerdiaries.wordpress.com/2018/10/31/a-treasure-trove-of-childhood-memories/ post is not working now and the same post is working from new link https://kalpavrikshafarm.wordpress.com/2018/10/31/a-treasure-trove-of-childhood-memories/

    While I did this change to bring kalpavriksha word in domain and there were warnings that I cannot revert back, I did not realize that previously created blog posts will stop working . And, I have shared these blog post links with my friends and with other contests.

    Your posts have not stopped working. They just exist at a new address now. It’s only the old links to the posts that have stopped working, as the posts no longer exist at that address.

    It’s exactly the same as if you moved house and didn’t arrange to have your mail forwarded do your new address. You are not gone. The mailman just don’t know where to deliver your mail now.

    If you want old links to the old address to continue working, you can purchase the Site Redirect upgrade for the old site to send traffic to your new site. There is no other way to do this without an upgrade, apart from manually moving everything back to the old address.

    Without any paid plans or paid plugins, can I either get my domain back?
