Site Name in Google Search
-
I am trying to change the name of my site as it shows up in Google search so that it reads my website name rather than an arbitrary title. I notice in settings I can add a site title but I do not want it to show on the front end of the blog. Is that the only way to update what is shown in Google search?

Yes, you can keep the site title from displaying in your header area by going to your Appearance -> Header page and clicking on “No” next to “Display Text.”
Then, just be sure to save your changes. :)

That is great! Thank you. Is this this best way to try and get my site title to correct itself in Google search? Right now if you search or straight type the site in, it say’s “Jewelry” for my site tittle when I just want it to by the name of my blog “Love and Rosen”.

Ok, great. I hope it doesn’t take Google too long to update the title within search… Any other suggestions for making it happen faster?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, no. We have no control over Google, so the only thing to do would be to wait for it to catch up, though I bet posting new content would get its attention quicker.
