Your domain robandjas.com expired on September 20. We sent several email warnings both before and shortly after it expired.
Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 90 days. You can learn more about expired domains here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/
The good news is that we are still able to recover your domain, as it is currently in the Redemption period: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period
A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by our domain partner and is not one which we can waive. That’s in addition to your annual domain renewal from us, so the total is going to be $98.
I have sent a payment request for the total of $98 to the email address on your account. Once the payment is sent, please reply here to let us know, and we will send a note to our domain partner regarding robandjas.com. This process only takes about 2-3 days start to finish.

Many thanks for your email.
We had some really turbulent times and unfortunately we totally missed the deadline for renewal! The increase in fee puts in a really challenging position. We would so appreciate if you understand our situation and explain your domain partner about this.
I believe a helping hand in current situations won’t do harm to anybody. We always renewed or upgraded so for once we’d really appreciate your help!
I look forward to hearing from you.

Whoops, I’m sorry, I misspoke above. We’ve been waiving the $80 fee due to the ongoing pandemic, so the total is only $18, which is the total in the payment request that was emailed to you.

Thanks, I have just reached out to our domains’ partner. They usually reply within 48h, although, it may take longer since it’s the weekend. We will let you know here once your domain is back on your account.

Hi I’ve got another issue now. Please can you tell me why my registered domain (robandjas.com) is not my main domain?
-
-
You’ll need a paid plan to set it as the primary domain: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#set-a-primary-address
-
Hi I did purchase a plan now but it’s not giving me the option to set it as the primary domain! Please can you help
-
Why does it keep on telling me I had created another site and it’s giving me another free domain. I’m totally confused. All I want is my domain robandjas.com to be the primary. All the other created sites are confusing me and I need to delete them. Unless it causes a difficulty in diverting traffic.
-
So it looks like you have purchased Personal plan for the site robandjasrecipes.wordpress.com, but the domain is attached to easyfamilyfoodblogging.wordpress.com. Did you want to use the Personal plan and the domain on the site easyfamilyfoodblogging.wordpress.com?
If so, we can help you move the plan to the correct site, however, before we do, we’ll need to make sure the previous, expired, Business plan is completely removed from it. This will delete all the plugins and third-party themes from the site but also can remove recent content so it’s best to create a backup first.
If that’s what you want to do and, since you’re on a paid plan, reach out to our support team directly from https://wordpress.com/help/contact – this was you can get help faster.
-
No how could I have done that?
I clicked on Site Domains –
Primary domain showed as easyfamilyfoodblogging.wordpress.com –
Clicked on change primary domain –
Pressed the upgrade next to robandjas.com registered domain – but nothing came up to purchaseSo then I went through the link that your colleague sent up above https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#set-a-primary-address and upgraded through that.
I dont’t want to loose any content and not into the hassle of creating a back up. This should have been really straight forward!
If this is not possible can I cancel the upgrade and see how I can do it on the correct site?
-
You can, of course, cancel and refund the purchase, however, it’s still needed to revert the site to the state it was before installed the first plugin. Only after that, you’ll be able to add Personal plan to that site.
Since it would be easier to work on this via email, I have just sent you one. Please reply there so we can stay in touch.
Thanks!
