Site not applying specified categories to posts once published

Our site is broken down into parent and sub-level categories. With one of our parent categories, the public site is showing all of the sub-levels in every folder instead of just the posts that are supposed to be in each individual sub-level. Any way to correct this issue?

Hi Kennedm4,
It looks like all of your menu subcategories for the “15 Month Study Deck” are set to the 15-month-study top level, instead of the individual sub-levels below it.
Try going to Theme – Customize – Menus – Primary, then make sure your sub-levels are all listed for the individual categories (2M 273, 2M 403, etc). If you mimic the format used on the “11 Month” and the “5 Month” menus, they should start filtering correctly.
It looks like all of the individual articles are tagged properly (https://mousepancreaticcancer.wordpress.com/category/15-month-study/2m-421/ works, for example), so once the sub levels in the menus are set, you should be good to go!
It looks like you’ve almost got it, but just in case, here’s a nice tutorial on menus that also goes into creating submenus and multiple levels: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
If they’re already set properly, would you mind sending along a screenshot so we can look into this further?
I hope this helps! Let me know if you’re still running into problems!
