site not available

  I created a site called architecturalnotations.wordpress.com and it has been deleted – now that I try to make another one, the domain is not available. When checking the site, it just says that the authors have deleted it, so the domain is not in use. Please help!

  Hi breakingthemould2017,

  To clarify, you created a site, then deleted it, and now you would like to use it again?

  As you’ll see from the documentation on WordPress here – https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/, you won’t be able to do this. I’ll highlight the most pertinent part here.

  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

  For future reference, you can use the ‘Privacy’ feature to hide your site from view from others instead of deleting it. See how to hide your site here – https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/.
