Site not displaying properly after theme update

We have three sites using the Graphene theme. After an upgrade late last year, the font size was larger, menu and widget displays were higher and that caused the pages to have to scroll further to see content, and the header image is partially hidden. When I’ve logged in to check image size, etc, everything appears properly in the editor. Is there an obvious fix for this? Does it involve CSS editing?
