    Hello, we have had our website hosted through webpress for 10 years and now our url is showing that our site cannot be found. We need help restoring our site, please let me know what can be done to backup our information. I do not know what happened to cause our site to be lost like this?

    To avoid confusion, it’s essential to understand three different versions of “WordPress”:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software that powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org, where you can obtain the software for free to use on your chosen hosting provider. Please note that WordPress.org does not provide hosting.
    3. WordPress.com, a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software, which is the platform you’re currently contacting.

    I suggest reaching out to the University’s hosting department as they likely have more information. They may also have a backup to restore the site.
