Site not found by Google
-
I wonder why I can’t find my site by Googling. Site Visibility is set to allow search engines.
My previous posting (a few months back) in the forum is found by Google, though.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

How old is your site?
It takes quite a bit of time for search engines to index new websites or blogs. Also, you need to write a few posts in order to get indexed better on Google. I went to your site and, while I’m not sure, I think you don’t have any posts yet. The homepage is set to show a page, and http://blankrost.wordpress.com/postningar/ this page is set to show the latest posts, where there isn’t any at the moment. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Hi rolfstr,
It doesn’t look like there is much content on your website possibly Google hasn’t crawled it recently.
When I search Google directly for your website address it does show up https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=blankrost.wordpress.com however it says that the robots.txt file blocked them from reading your site description. Did you just recently turn on the Site Visibility to allow search engines?
One of the best ways to get Google to notice you is to post good regular blog posts on your site. You can also sign up for Google Webmaster tools. It will show you good info on your website and how Google sees it. As well as some suggestions and ways to fix things it may see as wrong.

Here is how to verify your site for webmaster tools with WordPress.com

Yes, I turned it on fairly recently, so the blocked robots.txt might be it.
When I search for “Blankröstarpartiet” I get no results.
When I search for “blankrost.wordpress.com” it’s there. Still blocked by robots.txt though. Thanks for your help!

No problem. Give it some time and Google should re crawl your site. Now that you have it set to be visible you should start showing up in the results I would say.

Whopee! Now it’s there. Number two in the results listing.
Once again thank you.
