Site not found in Search Engines: Google, Yahoo, etc.

  Hi, I’m new wordpress.com and I’m having trouble with having my site showing up from search engines.

  I checked on ismyblogworking and here’s the result from it: http://ismyblogworking.com/panafricanuniversitypress.com

  If I google my site name, “pan african university press ” or just any contents on my site it doesn’t show up on google at all.

  The site does show up if I search like this site:panafricanuniversitypress.com on google, but I want to be able to search my site based on key words, contents or my title.

  I already made sure that I have “Allow search engines to index this site” checked and it’s been about 6 weeks since the site has been created.

  I’m not sure what else I should do that will have search engines show my site. Thanks for your help!

  You have a small static site that is a few weeks old, why should it search well?? It takes 4 to 8 weeks for a new site to be indexed fully by search engines and that is only if you have something worth indexing. Larger and older sites search better.

  Pages don’t search very well (your whole site) – Posts (I could not find any) search better, they call up search engines and tell the search engines that you have new content – add some Posts

  Thanks for your answer, so if I post regularly it would help search engines to index my site better thus showing up on search engines?

  Yes for sure

  Looks around your school – I will bet that you have all sorts of things happening you could write about, teacher profiles, special things that are happening, maybe the students do a civic project – and the the list goes on and on – – also by having Posts on what is happening that gives visitors a better idea of what your school is doing, success stories of graduates
