site not loading

  I launched my site but when I try to open it in url it displays an ‘oops, something went wrong’ error message. Could you help?

  Hi there, sorry I thought that posted automatically. It’s uptopstretford.wordpress.com. The logo and colour scheme load so it obviously has some link.

  Hi @hrn6ph7avz,

  Your site loads correctly on my end. Have you managed to fix it?
  The error you mentioned often happens when no homepage is set, this can be corrected from Appearance>Customize>Homepage Settings.

  No, still not functioning. I followed your instructions but there doesn’t seem to be an option to have what I can see back end as the homepage? The options are static post, page and then within page about, contact and blog. None of those lead to the front page I had set up.

  Has the page you want to display at the front of your site definitely been published? It won’t be listed as an option at Homepage settings if it is still in draft mode.
