site not loading on chrome / cannot publish

    My site has not been loading on chrome, all of a sudden, it sometimes brings up the page but then loads and loads forever until it just shows a black page. If I try another browser, I can get in, but then when I make a change to a page, it does not publish (it saves, but doesn’t go live). It’s the free version, so there’s no plug ins, i think, although i just saw an error message saying ‘what’s new plug in cannot be rendered’, or something like that.
