Site Not Saving

  Hi. I’m having an issue with WordPress where as I build my website and as I’m clicking save nothing is actually being saved by the looks of it. When I go to view the website it shows up with the template as if I’ve not changed anything (except from the header). When I click off of the page or reload it all the progress is lost up until the header.

  Howdy –

  This might be an issue with your actual internet connection or something glitching in the browser. There are some basic troubleshooting steps to take and rule those out.

  1. restart your internet connection
  2. check the up and down speed on speedtest.net to make sure it’s performing as it should

  If that does not fix your issue, then you can look in to the browser next.

  1. check for updates
  2. disable extensions or add ons
  3. test a different browser

  I would also suggest looking at the page revisions to see if the updated work was caught in the auto save function that’s built in on WordPress.com. Please tell me what page you’re having this issue on, and what content is also missing. That will give us a better starting place to dive in and figure it out.
