You’re posting into the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com. All sites hosted here have https by default. However your site isn’t hosted here so you’ll need to contact your host DreamHost directly for advice on installing an SSL certificate. See this reply from a member of staff when you posted in this forum previously:

Hello! I see that you have a website with the self-hosted version of WordPress (this means that you have installed WordPress on your own hosting space), so your best bet would be to head over the WordPress.org support forums here https://wordpress.org/support/ and ask your questions there, as this forum is for WordPress.com queries only.
However in your case I think it might be useful to contact your hosting provider first to see if they can help you enable https protocol.
If you want to learn more about the difference between .org and .com you can visit this page https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Hope you found this helpful!
Take care
