White screen errors are usually caused by a corrupted plugin or theme, and on a self-hosted WordPress installation. You can find more information here:

If your domain is hosted in WordPress.com you can contact the support via live chat, if It’s running on self-hosted version of WordPress you can visit the link above and look for white screen error

I think it is the theme! My site works with Fifteen, Sixteen and Seventeen.
Will try to see if I can update the theme – is that difficult for a medium experienced user?

Actually it’s not difficult to update the theme, you just need to select the theme you want and then activate it. it’s a few clicks process

I can figure out how to change the theme – but I think, that what I need to do here, is to edit the customised theme that is used at the site.
But in the meantime I also get blank pages when trying to enter the admin/ control panel – any ideas?
