Site not there, nothing working
-
Hello. I set up an account 3 days ago and also bought a custom domain – jamestalksgames.com.
However, nothing has happened! The URL doesn’t lead to my blog. Please can somebody give me some advice?
Many thanks

The domain name jamestalksgames.com is not showing up as registered anywhere. Did you purchase the domain through WordPress.com?
-
I did yes. It’s here in “My Domains”. I’ve just gone to my default one and that is working.
I’ve just noticed that under My Upgrades and under that domain, it is saying “DNS needs to be updated” in red. Any ideas?

The message you are getting typically appears when you are trying to set up a domain that was registered outside of WordPress.com. You may have accidentally chosen a different choice during the domain name registration. I have tagged this thread so that it can be addressed by a staff member. Howdy @jamestalksgames,
Sorry for the trouble here. It looks like the domain wasn’t successfully registered. There was an issue with the postal code/address you entered. Can you double check the address and trying registering the domain again here?
I’ve added credits to your account so you shouldn’t be asked to pay again.

Thank you Jeremy, that’s great. I went in and did it again, this time putting in a correct postcode as I think that might have been the problem. I received the activation email and activated it. I’ve put my domain as the primary but it isn’t showing yet – 72 hours I believe it says it can take up to.
So fingers crossed! Thanks again for your help.
