Site not using selected time zone
-
I changed my time zone in my site profile to UTC +0 and schedule my posts for 7:00 am, but the posts publish at 7:00 am in whichever time zone I’m physically in (I travel occasionally). I’d like them to publish at the same time every day regardless of the time zone I’m physically in. Is there another way to get them to publish based off of UTC?

Hi beth2anybody,
The time zone, by default, for all WordPress.com blogs is set to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which is in London (i.e. the United Kingdom). If you live in a different part of the world then you will likely want to change this option. You can find the time zones of many cities here: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock – you can also read up on time zones and how they are managed on WordPress.com blogs here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/general-settings/2/#timezone
With reference to scheduling your posts, please note that your site will post based on its time zone setting. You’ll see a note at the bottom if you are posting from a different time zone. You can confirm this is the case by reading the following article: https://en.support.wordpress.com/schedule-a-post/
I hope that helps! :)

Hello Beth it looks like there’s an issue where the wordpress.com dashboard uses your local time on your device as a reference. It should be resolved soon but in the interim you can work around this by scheduling/publishing your posts through the WP-admin dashboard. You can get to this dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin).
I hope that helps you out! Happy blogging!

Thanks @crazywickedawesome, looks like using the WP-admin dashboard will be my best bet for getting my posts to publish at the same time UTC no matter where I am.
