Site not working

  I was updating plugins and the screen changed to being stuck in maintenance mode with the maintenance message, check back soon. After searching the forum, I then deleted the .maintenance file in file manager in cpanel. Now the site is not accessible at all and I also cannot access the dashboard. I’m not familiar with coding and don’t know what to do to get the site working again and be able to access the dashboard. Seeking advice please.

  The jetpack plugin was updating when the site became stuck in maintenance mode.
