site not working properly on mobile

I operate two websites, both using “The Columnist” theme. I have one of them (augustslist.com) configured so that it operates perfectly on my iPhone: each post appears separately and the latest one shows up at the top so that if someone scrolls down, he or she will move on to the next oldest post and then the next oldest, and so forth. The other site (jaxonpool.com) does not do this even though I have it configured under “Appearance” in exactly the same way. Instead, Jaxonpool.com on my iPhone displays everything that I would typically see on the screen of my platform computer, except of course everything is extremely tiny. And if I expand the image and text in the way iPhone allows me to do and then click on one of the posts, the post shows up, but it is tiny, and the links and the images and some of the text are gone. I have set my “Mobile Options” under “Appearance” exactly the same for both sites: Yes to “Enable mobile theme”; Yes to “Always show posts on the front page”; and No for the three lower options. And of course I have hit the “update” button. The result is that my Jaxonpool.com site is useless on a mobile device but my Augustslist.com site works extremely well. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I am doing wrong?
