Site ownership and transfer

    What do I do? The person who built my site went out of business. I need to make sure that I have access to every bit of it. We are a non-profit. I paid for this. Please let me know how I can make sure we maintain ownership of eatlocallee.org current WordPress site.

    Hi there,
    Looks like you are using Open Source Version of WordPress hosted on Godaddy servers.

    Apparently, this forum supports only the sites hosted with WordPress.com.

    To know the difference between WordPress.com & WordPress.org you might want to read following article:

    However since you’ve posted here I might as well help you a bit by suggesting that you must have access to your Godaddy account where you have your domain and hosting.

    If you want to have complete control making sure that no one else has your credentials not even your developer you might want to change the password of your account.

    Also make sure that you change the login credentials of your hosting control panel once you are in your Godaddy account.
