site pages

Hello, I’m looking for help with my WordPress account. I have tried to organize my blog so that I have a Home, Contact, and Blog Page. When I tried to do this, I accidentally ended up with multiple pages, that I am now unable to delete. It seems like I’m missing settings in order to get those deleted. What am I doing incorrectly? I’ve been at this for far too long trying to figure it out, but I am unable to. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you!

Hi there,
Phone support isn’t offered on WordPress.com, so it’s highly recommended you do not post your number on a public forum which is indexed by search engines. I’ve tagged staff to redact it.
To delete a page, please go to: https://theadventuresofmamahood.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page
You can then click the red “Remove” button beneath the title of the page and it’ll be deleted.
Let us know if you have any further questions or issues after that. :)

Hi torres126 – Thanks for adding a tag to this thread. I’ve redacted the sensitive information. Don’t forget to try and help the user out too – they asked about removing duplicate pages.

theadventuresofmamahood – No worries, we will get you sorted. Can you tell me more about what happens when you try deleting the duplicate pages? Is there an error message or anything? More details will help me understand what’s going on.
When I visit the site, in the menu, I can see you’ve set up a Home, About, Blog Posts, and Contact page. Is the menu set up to your satisfaction?
As for the duplicate pages — There are 2 pages titled “home” and 2 pages titled “blog posts” , only one is published and the other one is in draft mode.
There is only 1 page titled “about”.
There are 2 pages titled “contact” both of them are published, only one is linked in your menu.
To delete the draft pages, go to My Sites – Pages – Drafts – … – Trash Page That will remove the duplicate Home and Blog Posts pages.
The duplicate Contact page can be moved to Draft Mode or Trashed by clicking on My Sites – Pages – … – Trash
These pages are not affecting the site display in any way since they are only on the back end of things. I hope this helps you get sorted. Write back with any other questions.

staff-zinnia My bad, I thought that showing how to delete pages would be enough, but I definitely see it could have been clarified a lot better!
