  Here is my site performance from Google Webmaster Tools:

  slower than 100% of sites

  Is this normal on wordpress.com? or maybe there is something wrong with my blog settings that makes it slow?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No this is not “normal”. I checked here > http://ismyblogworking.com/dalba.wordpress.com

  Then I clicked through to see ig the HTML validated about 10 minutes ago and the report showed it did not validate by a long shot. I saw a report of over 500 errors. I checked again just now and I see this. > http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdalba.wordpress.com&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

  The feed is valid but > http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdalba.wordpress.com

  Then I clicked through to HTTP headers and saw this http://redbot.org/?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdalba.wordpress.com

  I assume Staff are working on themes in the background and suggest you contact them directly using this link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  Since you have quite long posts, I would suggest going to settings > reading in the dashboard and set your blog to maybe show 5 posts per page instead of 10. That will help quite a bit I think.

  Secondly, go to settings > writing in your dashboard and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then save. That will help to cut down on any HTML errors that might sneak in.

  I just noticed that your blog is now reporting only 5 validation errors where when I first looked there were over 121, and Timethief saw over 500.

  I would definitely say staff was perhaps updating your theme.

  I changed max number of posts in each page to 5. (and did the same for my blog feed) (was quite effective!)

  The “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” item was already checked.
