Site Performance Degrading Over the Last Few Months

    I have noticed over the last few month the responsiveness of my blog has gotten much worse. I have noticed it, some users have mentioned it, Yandex sends me alerts about the site not being responsive, and when I try the WordPress speed test tool, I get the error below back in response. It sure feels like something is seriously wrong. Please advise.

    As for responsiveness, all themes on WordPress.com are mobile-optimized by default. I checked your site on mobile, and it’s displaying as expected. However, small design tweaks or content layout can affect mobile performance. These tips may help enhance responsiveness: Make Your Site Mobile-Friendly

    Also, if you’re receiving alerts from Yandex or other tools, it’s worth reviewing any recent content or layout changes that could be affecting how the site loads on mobile.

    In 35 years in Silicon Valley not once has a dev dismissively responding “works for me” been a useful or satisfying reply. You have continued that tradition here.

    WordPress.com has clearly laid off all the quality support people in their last firing wave, and outsourced their support to some low-cost center. I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with the support team in the last 2 months, which roughly coincides with the big layoffs at wordpress.com
