Site Preview of my blog not working correctly when commenting on other blogs

  My blog is actually http://stayathomegeek.wordpress.com, but whenever I leave a comment it has my site preview and click-thrus from my username going to momtechie.wordpress.com, which is a goofy error of a blog that I deleted…therefore anyone hoping to look at my blog from a comment I’ve made on theirs is s.o.l. :( I’ve already changed it repeatedly in my personal settings and my profile to reflect the correct URL, and made sure that the mShots thingie was checked, but still no luck.

  If someone gets a chance, could they take a look? :)

  When it comes to commenting on wordpress.com blog if you have changed your primary blog linked to your username like this

  > Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> scroll down to ‘Account Details’. In the spot where it says ‘Website’ insert http://stayathomegeek.wordpress.com and save the changes

  then you should not to be experiencing this problem. If you are experiencing this problem posting comments on wordpress.com blogs then you will have to Contact Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  Also note that although we cannot change our usernames we can designate another display name or nickname. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

  Are the blogs you are commenting on where this problem occurs blogspot (Blogger) blogs? If so then when one clicks “wordpress” in the dropdown selector that comment system assumes the username is to the blog of the same name. It drives me crazy so I use OpenID for posting comments to blogspot blog (Blogger) blogs.

  No, it actually happens whenever I comment on WordPress blogs, .org or .com, as well… And I’ve gone in and changed my display name several times, also. :( It’s like my profile is passively aggressive in its defiance of me. When I get a moment, I’ll contact staff, thanks. :)

  Changing the display name has nothing to do with changing the website. Did you change that?
