site problems

    I wanted the site redheadreveal
Instead I have ended up with two mistakes on wordpress – redheadrevealcom and redheadrevealdotcom
I don’t know how to fix this. I have other sites too. I own the domain redheadreveal.com thru go daddy so why can’t I get the blog site right to match it? Please help. There is no customer service number and I don’t know how to fix this.

What the underlying .wordpresspress.com address is does NOT matter when you are domain mapping. It can be any .wordpress.com URL at all but there does have to be one to map from to the domain URL.

    Non-WordPress.com Nameservers
Although redheadreveal.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.

We require that your name server configuration include only the following servers or their numeric equivalents:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Your name servers are as follows:

    NS75.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
    NS76.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

If you have access to change the nameservers for this domain, please remove all nameservers not on the required list above.

There is phone support here. All support options are in the support docs at Help! Getting WordPress.com Support

However, you don’t need to use them, as I already typed modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond. My apologies but your reply is greek to me. I don’t understand what you are saying or what that means.

  • Hey there,

The reason why you see the dotcom on your blog URL is because you entered redheadreveal.com into the domain field when you were creating the address. Leave the .com out of the field and enter redheadreveal – you should get your desired results: redheadreveal.wordpress.com to go along side your custom domain, redheadreveal.com.
Let me know if you have any other questions or issues.
    Thanks!
