  Hi
  I redirected my site from wordpress.com to wordpress.org (from https://lali422.wordpress.com/ to https://laliblog.com/) but I lost my place at Google. What did I do wrong?

  Hi there,

  I can confirm the site redirect from https://lali422.wordpress.com/ to https://laliblog.com/ is working correctly, so no visitor traffic is lost.

  However that redirect does not help with your Google ranking. Anytime you change the URL of a site that will have a direct effect on it’s visibility in search results. However, Google usually corrects this over time so it tends to be a short-term change.

  Because there is a redirect in place they will usually figure it out and update their index, but this is not something we are in control of directly.
