Site Redirect

Hi All!
I purchased the domain laurajanisthompon.com and paid to have it redirected to my other WordPress site pagesandstories.com. The redirect is not working and takes the reader to a Twenty Ten theme that reads “Not Found”. The My Upgrades in my dashboard states that the site is being redirected but this is not the case. Am I doing something wrong? If there is an open thread regarding this issue could you please direct me to it? Please advise and thanks! :)

laurajanisthompson.com – goes to a private WordPress.COM bloglaurajanisthompson.com is mapped to laurajanisthompson.wordpress.com
pagesandstories.com – is a valid site with content and maps to pagesandstories.wordpress.com
You’ve set a different domain (www.pagesandstories.com) as primary for laurajanisthompson.wordpress.com. Although you can map more than one domain to your blog, only one can be primary

I see that you have the custom domain laurajanisthompson.com mapped to the site at laurajanisthompson.wordpress.com but then have the Site Redirect upgrade for that site so it points to pagesandstories.com, which is another custom domain you have that points to the corresponding WordPress.com site.
Could you please let me know if this is how you want it to be set up or not? If not, could you please list out exactly how you want things set up?

Yes, everything is correct. I purchased domain, Laura Janis Thompson (my own name) in case someone looked up my business by my name. Just in case that were to happen, I would like http://www.laurajanisthompson.com to redirect to http://www.pagesandstories.com, my business site hosted by WordPress. Do I have http://www.laurajanisthompson.wordpress.com redirected instead of http://www.laurajanisthompson.com? Is that the problem? Thanks in advance for your help! :) Laura

Hi again,
The easiest way to make this work would be to have laurajanisthompson.com also mapped to pagesandstories.wordpress.com, but not as the primary domain, and do away with the site redirect.
Are you using laurajanisthompson.wordpress.com at all? If not, I could set this site to private and then update the mapping to point people to pagesandstories.com.

No, I am not using laurajanisthompson.wordpress.com at all. I would just like any clients who look me up by my name to be directed to my business (email visible only to moderators and staff). It would be awesome if you could help with that. I tried to buy a “mapping” option in my store but it wasn’t even available. :( Let me know if there is anything I need to do and thanks SO much for your help! :)

I’ve just updated our records to point your laurajanisthompson.com domain to pagesandstories.com. Everything should be working the way you wish now. If not, there might be a brief delay as domain records update, but should be resolved shortly.

It wasn’t working yesterday so I waited until today to see if the system would update but I am still getting this message this morning:
“Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”
