Site redirect

  I’m planning to purchase a site redirect for this blog very soon.

  I just wanted to confirm that I will still be able to access the dashboard for this blog when the redirect is in place before going ahead.

  Hi I am hoping someone can please assist. I am trying to redirect my wordpress blog to my new URL, however when I type it in I receive an error message even though the address is typed in correctly: “Your blog cannot be redirected to that URL. Please make sure the URL is valid.”
  Is it possible to please receive assistance to complete this task?

  Not until you give us the WordPress.com URL and the URL to which you wish it to be redirected.

  The data on wordpress has been redirected. You can check:

  [your_blog_name.WORDPRESS.com]
  [your_blog_name.BTCLUSH.com]

  While it could cost users’ page ranks, it sure is an unnecessary burden to wordpress’ servers, I guess.

  At present, there are no custom domains (i.e., domains not ending with wordpress.com) associated with your WordPress.com account.

  If you’re inquiring about a self-hosted, WordPress.org site, you should be able to contact your current host for assistance. In addition, the following resources may help you:

  Hi @pmanciano,
  Thanks for your response however my .com address is linked with my WordPress so I can’t work out why this isn’t working. Is it possible for someone to please assist me with this?

  My old url is courtneysempire.wordpress.com and new url is courtneysempire.com.au
  This would be greatly appreciated.
