  Good Morning! How does Site Redirect work? Do I ‘NEED’ a plugin to set it up?
  When redirecting sites, are users warned? Or does it automatically transfer to preserve user experience?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Site redirection is an automated process, so users shouldn’t notice a hiccup with that addition. You don’t need a plugin for that, but can purchase that upgrade here. You’ll see that explained further at https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/.
