  what happens in the recipient site of a redirect. example: redirect site from WordPress.com to https://www.thia-basilia.com/, what happens in https://www.thia-basilia.com/ will it replace my posts in https://www.thia-basilia.com/???

  Hi @thialicona, I’m not sure I understand the example, but this may help. With a redirect:

  somesite.wordpress.com/somepage

  would redirect to

  newsite.com/somepage

  If that page or post does not exist there, the person visiting would get a 404 error.

  It would not replace anything on the new site, only send folks from here to there. Does that help?

  Yes, thanks. I talked to SiteGround. They told me the same thing. I paid te $13.00 . Redirected. It works. Will know for sure after a bit if I get the same visitors as before or more. I’ll see how all this works.
