  I set up a redirect, but it only works from within WordPress. I then tested it by typing in my old url and it took me to an error page.

  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there!

  I can see that you removed the redirect so now I am not able to verify it but we will be happy to check in case you decide to add it back.

  Bear in mind that you may need to wait 72 hours for the redirect to work. Also, make sure to check it from a private (incognito) window or clear the browser’s cache https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache first.

  May I ask why do you want to redirect people away from your WordPress.com site? I would be happy to help with the site’s improvement.
