Site redirect for existing domain mapping
-
Hi, I recently moved my blog to a self hosted wordpress.org site, and wanted to purchase the site redirect so the traffic from my wordpress.com blog goes to my new site.
When I go to the wordpress.com store to purchase the site redirect, I get the message: “A domain mapping already exists for that host. You do not need to buy a site redirect if you already have a domain mapping.” (I purchased domain mapping a year ago).
How do I get my wordpress blog to redirect to my new url?
the new url is: http://whollykao.comthank you!
Blog url: http://whollykao.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
As you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere you can do this by updating the nameservers. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers -
I updated my nameservers to point to the new site, but the process took a bit longer than I thought it would, which is why the traffic wasn’t redirecting. I’m all set now.
Thanks for the suggestion though!

Hello,
I have the same issue, except that I did *not* register my domain using WordPress. How can I get the Site Redirect (and cancel the Domain Mapping) if it’s giving me this same error:
“A domain mapping already exists for that host. You do not need to buy a site redirect if you already have a domain mapping.”
Thanks for your help!
