Site Redirect from WordPress.com to WordPress.org
-
I am wanting to redirect traffic from my wordpress.com site (https://samlbyers.wordpress.com) to my new wordpress.org site (https://samlbyers.com). I was looking into various plugins (such as redirection and velvet blues), but failed to find anything that worked.
I was going to just use the paid ‘site redirect’ upgrade, but I noticed it says: ‘Site redirects will only point to a non-ssl ( http:// ) url.’
Is there any other options to make this work?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can try to redirect all requests to HTTPS from your end. Cloudflare provides you with an easy option for this using page-rules.

All requests have already been redirected from HTTP to HTTPS for samlbyers.com. But I am trying to redirect traffic from an entirely different domain (samlbyers.wordpress.com) to a new domain (samlbyers.com).
Does cloudflare provides options for this as well?

You should make use of the site redirect upgrade to redirect the traffic from your WordPress.com site to your WordPress.org site (samlbyers.com).
And since you have mentioned that all requests to samlbyers.com are being redirected from HTTP to HTTPS it should work fine.
I don’t understand what you are trying to achieve here. You have already found the solution.

Okay, I see what you’re saying here. So I am redirecting from my wordpress.com site to my wordpress.org site with the HTTP address. But then the request is redirected from there to the HTTPS address.
Wow, sorry for taking so long to get that. Thanks for the help!
