Site redirect from wp.com to wp.org

I need to redirect my wp.com site to my wp.org site. The domain name thediligentwoman.com was used both places. The automated sire redirect is not allowing me to request the redirect, apparently because of the same domain usage. Help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

If you previously had your domain set up here for your WordPress.com site and it is now set up elsewhere, then you do not need site redirect! Anyone who previously went to thediligentwoman.com to get to your site before and now goes to thediligentwoman.com will still get your site, they’ll just get it at the new hosts.

    You should be just fine!

My main thought was to get my followers – people who actually accepted the email invite to follow the blog. Those don’t seem to be on the wp.org.

I did post on my FB followers about typing the site address instead of following bookmarks so they wouldn’t continue getting sent to the original blog on Blogger.

Well, if you’re worried about any of your email followers, we can transfer your subscribers over from your .com site over to your WordPress.org installation.

All you will need to do is install the Jetpack plugin and connect it to WordPress.com after it’s installed, and then let me know and I can take care of moving everything over for you. That way when you post new blog entries, your followers will be directed to your correct blog!

That would be great! I already have Jetpack and it is connected.

    Thank you!

I haven’t had any of the followers show up yet. Should I be able to tell when this is done?

I’m also having trouble finding where I can INVITE new followers by email. Hmm.

    Heya!

Sorry for the delay! I was out over the weekend. I’ve gone ahead and transferred your followers over, so they should now be appearing in your stats page.

There also really isn’t a place where you can invite people to be followers. You can invite people to be users, however that’s not quite the same thing and really isn’t something that you would want to do (users have permissions on your blog which you probably don’t want them to have).

    Thank you – that worked!
