Site Redirect Not Working

  I’m having difficulty using Site Redirect. I recently moved from wordpress.com to a self-hosted wordpress site and would like to redirect my wordpress.com site to the new site. However, when I attempt to use Site Redirect, I get a message stating that ‘There is a problem adding Site Redirect that points to …’. Why would I be getting this message? Any solution ideas? (Also the domain that I’m trying to redirect to was purchased with WordPress.com and I pointed that to the new servers where my new site is hosted.)

  Which site address are you trying to redirect your WordPress.com site to? For clarification, is it simplysylviadotcom.wordpress.com that should be redirecting?
