Site Redirect still using WordPress

  OK, I’d like to change the name of my blog, by I am stil going to use wordpress.com.

  If I buy the site redirect feature, will that feature map the old to the new address directly, or just send the user to the new home page?

  for instance, if I change the web address from frank.wordpress to joe.wordpress, will it send frank.wordpress.com/about to joe.wordpress.com/about?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you wish the blog to continue to be free hosted by WordPress.com then what you need to purchase is domain mapping. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/
