Site Redirect: x.wordpres.com/post-day-month to x.com/post-day-month
-
I’m about to finish the move form wordpress.com to wordpress.org but my site already has a good load of traffic coming and redirecting is necessary.
I want the pagesto redirect to the according version on the new site, something like x.wordpres.com/post-day-month redirecting to x.com/post-day-month.
Would that be possible with the Redirect update?
Let’s say all posts, categories and tags have exactly the same url but ofc the domain, could that be accomplished?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for replying!
I’ve seen that page before coming here. It does not really talk about my question thou.
If I have a post, for example, http://blog.wordpress.com/jan/post-x will and in my new domain I have the same structure http://blog.com/jan/post-x will the redirect post that specific post on the old blog to the same post on the new one?
Hope it is clearer now.

The site redirect redirects yourblogname.wordpress.com URL (as well as all of your permalinks) to your new domain name.

So you are saying “Yes, it will work as in your example. blog.wordpres.com/news will redirect to blog.com/news”, right?
PS: You got a great site. Very nice tips.
